Phys. Lab Technical Support
Welcome to the "Phys. Lab" Technical Support page. This app simulates physics experiments for elementary and middle school students, allowing users to learn, understand, and review physical processes and principles through interactive simulations. It's suitable for students, physics enthusiasts, educational demonstrations, and casual entertainment.
Getting Started
To begin using the app, simply download and install it from the App Store. After installation, launch the app and start simulating various physics experiments.
Feature Overview
- Vernier Caliper: Experience measurement processes by operating the caliper and nuts.
- Balance: Simulate mass measurements of cherries, rings, and diamonds using weights and the balance beam.
- Two-Force Balance: Observe force magnitudes and directions by moving spring scales left/right.
- Three-Force Balance: Observe three-force equilibrium by moving spring scales in all directions.
- Newton's Second Law: Add weights to trolley and tray, start the 50Hz ticker timer, and calculate acceleration via dot distances seen through magnifying glass.
- Mechanical Resonance: Observe resonance principles by hanging pendulums with different string lengths on a horizontally stretched rope.
- Light Reflection/Refraction: Measure incident/reflection/refraction angles using light paths on protractor, adjustable for light frequency and media interfaces.
- Convex Lens Imaging: Move candle and screen positions to observe and measure real/virtual image positions and sizes.
- Ohm's Law: Build series/parallel/combo circuits to measure voltages and currents. Short circuit experiments produce smoke and red light indicators.
